Hextech Gunblade Quick-Cast issue on Akali

I've had this issue many times, in which Hextech Gunblade does not quick cast, even though it says that the item is on quick cast in the escape menu. Small problem, it would be great to know if anyone else has had this problem on Akali or on other champion. Thanks! :)
