Drop then Update...that's nice

I was just dropped during loading que, due to a connection error not on my end...LoL client closes itself out and when i relaunch, I have a huge update stuck at 33%...Normally i wouldn't be too upset but I was just dropped from a ranked game and now have missed atleast the first 10 minutes...any help?

I'd like to see this fixed or atleast a loss prevention for myself and anyone else this happened to in the past and in the future
