As the title says i have 9 wins and 1 loss in the promo games, i got promoted to S 5 an my friend with 7 wins a 3 loses got to S 3 . How is this even possible ? I was s 1 last season didnt play that much league but i was still active . Can someone tell me if this is normal or not , bcs i feel cheated q.q, Also sorry if this is the wrong board i dont know where to post it elsewhere .

Riot is doing this to everybody or a lot of people, and its been happening for a while as far as I know. for example. season 5 I finsihed gold 5 season 6 I went 9-1 and got placed in silver 3.
season 6 flex queue I went 8-3 and got placed in bronze 5
havent finished by season 7 promos yet but I expect to fall into silver again.
its weird. but Silver 3 and Silver 1 are not far apart, imagine how low you would be if you finished 8-2 or gawd forbid 7-3 youd be bronze for sure.
