Gladiator Draven axes stop glowing when using w

When using the gladiator Draven skin the axes glow when you have them on. But for some reason when you use w the axes stop glowing and look default. I looked at older videos with this skin and they continued to glow using w, but now when you use w the glow is gone until the w runs out and then the glow comes back on. Was this changed so it does this or a bug? main wondering. The link shows the skin when it was released and as you can see he had both axes spinning and both glowed and both still glowed after he used w. Why doesn't it glow now?

Thank you for taking a look. I noticed this bug for awhile and didnt do anything till i saw old videos of the skin from a montage and noticed something was off. And thank you if you can fix it ;^)[slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

A couple notes for clarification.

Yes, I'm responding to a cosmetic glitch. I'm on the skins team, and since this is a skins bug, it's something I have subject matter expertise in. So, it's less a conspiracy theory against Draven players, or fucked logic, but more that I'm poking around issues that pertain to the work that I do and issues that I could get solves for.

There are other teams, such as champion, or gameplay, depending on the issue, who would be much more knowledgeable on the subject. If you're willing to create a new bug ticket and link it to me, I'd be more than happy to pass it along to the appropriate folks to have them take a look. :)

Hi!

I did have a chance to look at the issue. From what you're describing, I'm not able to repro the issue.

When using the gladiator Draven skin the axes glow when you have them on. But for some reason when you use w the axes stop glowing and look default.

I've put a point in W, saw the glow, AA'd an enemy while W was still active, and the glow did not disappear. If I'm missing some additional steps or info, please let me know!

If I'm going through the steps that you've described properly, and you're still having the issue. I'd also suggest doing a client repair, as there may be a file that got jumbled in one of the more recent updates.

Did you have a point in q and both axes spinning and then pressed w? And are you talking about the tattoo glow or axes glow?

Ah, seems you may have omitted some details. :P No worries.

That said, your repro steps would look something like this?

Put a point in Q
Attack an enemy to get both axes spinning
Press W

The glow in the axes are still glowing, for me. Are you looking at the glow of the tattoo?

Im talking about the glow on the axes when it spinning. Get a point in q and w. have one axe spinning and then press w. The glow from the axe is gone when you use w. I have repaired the client and this didnt fix problem. If you want i can take screenshots of it.

The number of axes dont matter. The first image shows me spinning one axe. The second image shows me using w and you can see the glow is gone from the axe and doesnt come back till w is over.

Hey -

Sorry, I'm off on the weekends, so I hadn't had a chance to reply more quickly.

I did more poking around and got a second look from another QA partner. This is what he'd said in relation to your screenshots/video (he knows a bit more about Draven than I do):

In his first screenshot, he doesn't have the Blood Rush buff active, so there isn't supposed to be a red glow on his weapons anyway. The second screenshot, he has the Blood Rush buffs active and has the red glows on both weapons. I'm getting the red glows on the weapons from W while Q is active, for as long as W is active. Then it goes away when W isn't active. From his screenshots, it looks like that's what he's getting too. The W duration is a lot shorter than the Q duration.

W applies two buffs: A movement speed for 1.5 seconds, an attack speed for 3 seconds. The red glows last for three seconds, with or without Q. Starting W before or after Q doesn't change the red glow duration I'm getting. Having Q active just seems to change the red glow particle so it's not perfectly round and soft-edged. It blends in with Q's VFX style. It behaves the same for me on Classic.

Does that sound about right to you?

I don't think im explaining this correctly with comments. Can i add you and show you in game? The axes are suppose to be orange-ish when draven is spinning them which is shown in the first image and should be still orange-ish even if using w. In the second image i have one axe spinning and used w and you can see that the orange-ish color from the axe is gone. This shouldnt happen. Might be better if i add you and show you in custom.

I think you're swapping up the term glow, with what we'd consider an overlay. So, you're saying when you have Q active and then activate W, the blades lose their overlay for a brief time (For the duration of the Blood Rush: Movement Speed buff).

If that's the case, we're on the same page.

Yeah the overlay is gone when using w and the blades just look default and really bothers me because i don't know if i have them spinning or not. In the video on my first thread at minute 1:02 you can see he has both axes spinning and uses w and the overlay is still there. If you could fix it so it does the same thing like the video it would be real nice. ;)

Idk i think i explained it to him wrong you can try to create a new post about it. Legit ruins the Gladiator draven skin cause when you use w a lot( a million times in game btw) the axes dont glow sadly. Create a new thread about it cause its annoying when i play that skin.
