Game & Client freeze my PC?

I'm not sure how I encountered this bug twice, but when I open up league the client either freezes my PC or lags out, and in the loading screen my PC becomes completely unresponsive. I'm running Win 8.1, but this bug only happens once then goes away

I'd definitely try running the Hextech Repair tool or reach out to Tech Support
