Tahm Kench w bug; ally gets spit out instantly "Ptooie! That's disgusting!" [Game] breaking

Attempting to safeguard your teammate from poke and skillshots, you hit w on them to chomp em dow -- nevermind they just got spat out instantly... as if Kench is so disgusted by the worst than trash flavor (Ha!) that he damn well forced them out on the other side of himself. This, of course, happening dependent upon where the ally was clicking before they were devoured. Now, instead of being safeguarded, albeit slowed during the duration because... changes ;>_> they are now put immediately back into harm's way instead. What kind of backwards logic is this? It's gotta be a bug, right? Am I wrong? Please tell me I'm correct in thinking this is a bug and not an actual change that was considered for a tank/support champion..? A "Guardian"? Please unbench the Kench

TL;DR Allies get spit out immediately and sometimes mere milliseconds after the initial chomp of the devour skill (W)
