[CLIENT] My client wont open

Braindamaged Ape·12/11/2014, 12:23:46 AM·5 votes·2,001 views

My client won't open. Whenever I click on the application to open it a small window pops up saying:

"Do you want the application “LoLPatcher.app” to accept incoming network connections?"

So I click Allow but nothing happens. I tried to click Deny but still nothing happens

I tried to reinstall but whenever I open it, it still has the same problem. I am running on a Mac OS X and is running Version 10.9.5

I have this same issue which started a couples days ago. How do i get it to go away? It wont even let me connect to a game. Error message comes up saying can't connect to server. Never had problems like this before.

This is hardly a permanent solution, but in most cases, the following should work:

  1. Open the System Preferences app.
  2. Navigate to the Security & Privacy pane.
  3. Switch to the Firewall tab.
  4. Click the "Turn Off Firewall" button.

Remember that these steps should only be followed if you believe you can keep secure while leaving your firewall disabled.

Users, behold my next post! I have eliminated the LoLPatcherUx.app notification and I am currently investigating the LoLPatcher.app. I will post both at once when I have the entire fix. Stay tuned.

I'm getting the same anoying messages.

Do you want the application “LoLPatcherUx.app” to accept incoming network connections? and Do you want the application “LoLPatcher.app” to accept incoming network connections?

I just click allow and it works, didn't try to deny it but it's anoying to click allow twice before starting the game. I've checked the firewall settings on my mac and they're both there listed and allowed.

Ok, the LoLPatcher.app notification is eluding me but I will continue to investigate this issue. One pop-up gone is 50% of the problem and I will share that much with you now. You must go into System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Firewall. From here you will want to open the button labeled with "Firewall Options...". Under the list of applications that "Allow incoming connections," there is a plus and minus sign [+][-]. Click the plus sign to open a new menu that should immediately navigate to your Applications folder. Opening a NEW Finder window, locate League of Legends from the list in Applications (if you installed League of Legends to a custom directory, you will need to locate this file first). Right click the application and select "Show Package Contents." You will enter a new folder with one folder called "Contents," and show now navigate as follows: Contents -> LoL -> RADS -> Projects -> lol_patcher -> releases -> 0.0.0.12 -> deploy. This opens a new folder containing LoLPatcher, LoLPatcherUx, and LoLPatcherUxHelper and a folder named "data." As we did with the League of Legends Application, right click LoLPatcherUx and enter into an area with a folder named "Contents." From here navigate into Contents and then into the Frameworks folder containing Cg.framework, Chromium Embedded Framework.framework and LoLPatcherUx Helper. Now with this page open, drag LoLPatcherUx Helper into the Firewall Finder that is currently open in your other window. This should eliminate one of the pop-ups and I will let you know when I eliminate the other.
