So whenever I'm playing mundo and get tenacity boots, his marking of how much tenacity he has way off. for instance, with the 10% from masteries and 35% from the boots, I should have 45% tenacity listed. However I only see 42%. with my w at first lvl I should have 52% with that flaw listed, but it is only 47%. so basically I am concerned if there is some invisible losing that I am not aware of, or if I really do have it but it doesn't show up.

warwiller1 votesI think tenacity stacks "multiplicatively" which means forget about trying to calculate it because nothing really explains what "multiplicative stacking" is
Tilomentry3 votesSay you have no tenacity, you take 100% of the duration of CC effects. Then you add tenacity boots which reduce CC by 35%. This drops you down to 65% CC duration. Then you add masteries which add 10% tenacity. You reduce the 65% CC duration by 10% (6.5%) which brings you down to 58.5% which equals 41.5% tenacity (The hud rounds up to 42%)
Each new reduction is multiplied with the results of the last equation (hence multiplicatively) so it looks like:
100 - (100 * 0.35) = 65 65 - (65 * 0.10) = 58.5
