Can't connect to servers?

I have been playing for about 4-5 hours today, 8/13, and almost every time I get past the champion select and start to load into a game a I get a black screen and a message saying that I can't connect to the servers... I would just close out and reconnect until I got in the game. It wasn't a big deal until it happened in a ranked game and I lost 18 LP because my team voted to 'remake' before I could get in the game. It is just becoming frustrating and I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing the same issue?
