LeagueClient.exe stealing focus randomly and causing games to minimize

I am experiencing issues with League of Legends randomly minimizing while in full screen.

I have resorted to running a program called focus.exe to track what programs steal focus.

Attached is a screen shot, the screen shot shows that the LeagueClient.exe is pulling focus randomly.

I was playing while the League Client was open, when the game minimized I checked the focus.exe program, seeing that Leagueclient.exe popped up, Clicking on the league client showed me LeagueClientUX.exe instead.

Please fix this bug, ALSO related, the leagueclient.exe UPDATER will show up when you are in game or have the client LAUNCHED. This should NEVER happen.

i've got the same problem, just from the latest patch - the game minimizes itself during a match, giving focus to a LeagueClient process (even tho i chose to close the client for a match time), very irritating

Figured I'd comment and say the same issue is happening to me. Happened twice in a Teamfight Tactics game, Twice in a Sum Rift Ranked game

This happened to me too. Super frustrating. Would also tab me out in other games if I had the client running in the background.

Hey guys.

Now, I do have the same problem, BUT, I am using the option "Close Client during game". So in theory the client should be closed... but it is not, as the "LeagueClient.exe" is still in the background.

Also I noticed, when the game minimizes, the "RiotClientServices.exe" actually starts using quite some CPU, and the "RiotClientCrashHandler.exe" suddenly pops up, although the game is still functional and the "LeagueClient.exe" is doing nothing (that would be visible as CPU usage).

I hope this quick assessment helps the Riot Support to actually find and fix the problem on their own now.

I have the same issue. I used focus.exe and discovered that LeagueClient.exe is randomly stealing the focus, causing the game to minimize. It usually happens 2 times per game.

I tried repairing the client as well as completely reinstalling both the client and the game, but it didn't fix the problem. I also tried using the "Close client during game" option, but that didn't fix the problem either. (Looks like LeagueClient.exe still runs in the background)

Please fix this quickly because it's making the game unplayable for me.

This is Happening to me too. It is really annoying and even happens as I was playing League, where the client should stay minimized always. The whole Feature of your client stealing focus is very much inconvenient for me. It should be possible to deactivate it altogether.
