Alpha client bug?

Today I updated league like every other person but mine was different I updated alpha first and boom it deleted it from my pc [zombie-nunu-bummed] I was so sad but I said no so I re-downloaded it can any one tell me why this happened love to know

Same here, although I kept my client open, but the program has been deleted from my computer it seems, so I wouldn't be able to reopen it.
