Kalista Bonding bug

During my most recent game I found a rather odd bug. I was in lane with my teams Kalista. I was playing Soraka. At some point I realized that Kalista had yet to set her bond with me, or really anyone. After one particularly bad exchange we backed up to tower. At this point, while at very low health, Kalista decided to bond with me. Now, I'm not one to say this was a bad decision, but it was. She died to a Nidalee who jumped to the turret to kill her. Now the process at already begun and I assumed it worked as I had the bonded passive.

However things started going wrong as Kalista attempted to ult me later for escape purposes and I found I could not use it. At first I thought I was pressing the wrong button, but I wasn't. It was click any button anywhere, which I was doing. Was not working. In addition to that I noted that as it expired I simply reappeared where Kalista was standing. Later still I realized that her passive was not procing my attacks.

It seems that if she dies while in the process of bonding there are several bugs that pop up. She still had the spear in her inventory and couldn't bond to anyone else, and we effectively had a Kalista who couldn't ult properly and lost some of her damaging power.

I was playing Kalista in an ARAM, and bound myself to a Janna just out of instinct. Later, I tried to switch to a different champ (Diana), but it didn't work. It'd trigger the CD but wouldn't place the buff. What's worse, I could no longer ult Janna. I think I might have moved during the animation.

I'm finding when you pair with kalista, if you decide to change your mind and rebind to another character it doesn't want to work. The sound effect triggers and the animations for the item slot, but nothing happens and your still bonded to the same character. This is a bit frustrating because of AFK'rs and the people who say a lane and move with you only to then change after you've bonded them. This is frustrating because it basically wastes your two skills both the ultimate and the w skills passive dmg.
