Ranked game ward skin bug

During ranked game champ select I went to change my ward skin but all I got was a loading bar. Due to this I wasn't able to click on anything else, I couldn't even lock in my character and as a result the game disbanded I was given a penalty...These bugs during my ranked promos are annoying!
