Disconnecting In New Champion Select

Hey guys, just looking for some feed back in regards to the new champion select. From my personal experience I seem to disconnect from chat once in awhile during the banning phase and sometimes I reconnect to chat so I'm able to select a champion if it my turn, other times it just never reconnects and I'm force to close the launcher and I get a 5 minute penalty for "dodging" I play on a Mac and Internet is wired so not sure what the issue could, also I have another friend but he's on Windows and he experiences the same issues of Disconnecting during champion select and his connection is wired. Any one else experiencing this?
