Guinsoo's synergy with Darius Passive

I am informed in the way to build champions, and I am well aware this is an off-meta build, but I do believe that the two should work together. I was just looking to have fun in a normal game with Guinsoo's Rageblade Darius, and I was very sad to find out that having the Guinsoo's passive does not grant a second stack of Darius' Hemorrhage upon basic attacks. I recently sent in a ticket about this topic, I received a response that to their knowledge Darius' passive isn't coded as "on-hit" so they do not function together. So now I look to the forums to find a change in the game to allow this; off-meta but fun build.
