No Lobby Chat

After playing a few matches, the champ select lobby chat stops working. It keeps on saying that it is connecting and anything I type in does not send. Furthermore, I noticed this problem occurs in the post game/results screen chat and sometimes when you are in the pregame lobby (the screen before you search for a match). Please help.
