Demoted to gold 1 from plat 5 for being inactive, except I wasn't inactive yet

My account just dropped from plat 5 to gold 1 for being inactive despite logging into the client and it literally just told me that I had two days remaining before going inactive. I play this game daily, so obviously I was going to play a game before I decayed. I'm not upset so much because I have to win 4 or 5 games now, I'm upset because the client blatantly told me that I had two more days remaining, and this was false. In the past, I've also received notifications that my account has BEEN INACTIVE. Meaning, my account gets marked as inactive then begins to decay. I had 30 lp, and I went from plat 5 30 lp down to gold 5 75lp? It didn't decay my account, it literally demoted me without removing any of my lp or even notifying me that the decaying process had began. AND, this is all the while I received notifications that I had two days remaining. This is a major bug and I don't think it's fair. I understand if my rank cannot be fixed, but I don't want other to get screwed by this. Fix your spaghetti coding please.
