Kayn Dies to Zed ult while Kayn is Inside Him

I may be wrong here, but here goes. Earlier today, I played a game using Kayn as my champion and near towards the end of it, I used Kayn's ultimate right after the enemy team's Zed used his ultimate on me. In one short moment, I die to Zed's ultimate while I'm still inside him with my ultimate. So, I was wondering if Kayn is not immune to all damage when he uses his ultimate, I could understand damage like ignite being able to go through, but able to negate ultimates. I thought it would be similar to Fizz's E, but I guess not. Anyway, I would greatly appreciate help. Thank you.

He just becomes untargetable, not invulnerable like with taric/kayle ultimates or zhonya's.

  • the same interaction happens with Tahm! ^.^

This is not a bug, Kayn simply becomes untargetable, not invulnerable. Things like bleeds, ignite, zed ultimates, etc. will still apply even during his ult if they were done prior to him casting it.

I recently played a match against Illaoi. I was using Kayn and in order to avoid the burst of her ult I used mine before i get hit but i died inside my ult. I checked her summoners and no ignite, her key maestry was Grasp of the Undying. So i don' see how Illaoi could have killed me. Any suggestion?
