[GAMEPLAY] Left Click not working in game :(

About two weeks ago I started having this problem that I noticed only occurred in game when playing League of Legends. I've been using standard cast for all of my career in LoL. The first time it happened, I was playing Akali and clicked the q on my keyboard and tried to left click an enemy champion. It was unresponsive, although everything else in game continued to run smoothly. I had to click several times and only after the 4th or 5th click did it respond. I have been trying to solve this by playing custom games, but nothing I have done has changed this problem.

Here are the things I have tried doing to fix this problem, all of which did not solve the issue:

  1. New mouse
  2. Uninstalled and re installed league
  3. Tried patching client
  4. Changed settings back to default, to smart cast, and back again

This makes it almost impossible for me to play league using standard cast. I am prepared to quit playing league if this problem remains unresolved. A lot of people recommend I get used to using smart cast, but for now, I don't want to start using it. Please help me get this problem fixed!!

This is an ongoing issue.

Unresponsive LEFT CLICK (anywhere) The recall key "B" doesn't work My spells work, but auto cast Cannot level up spells (due to LEFT CLICK) etc.

I use a Macbook laptop running MAC OSX Yosemite.

I've tried: Unplugging-replugging in wireless mouse. Switching off/on mouse ALT+TAB (worked 1 of the times) RESTARTING GAME (worked but then I'm 5 levels behind)

This is really a completely unpleasant experience and sucks when you can't be there for your team because a game is messing up, and it's not your fault; often resulting in a team loss, or you looking like you don't know what you're doing.
