A Problem Patching League Of Legends

I was playing a game of AR URF, and as soon as it ended i was in the honor screen but i was instantly met with my client darkened because, with an error pop up of sorts. i don not remember exactly what it said, but i think it said something about patching and it said it had to restart my client, so I had no option other than hitting the restart button it gave me. when i pressed it my client restarted and i was met with a message saying the exact words

"we have restored this installation to an older version of League of Legends. Now we'll try to patch it up to the latest version."

I was confused and a bit nervous about this because i had no idea what could cause it, and when I pressed the OKAY button, i was even more anxious when without the screen changing at all or trying to load something it instantly displayed the words

"There was a problem patching League of Legends. We'll restore a backup version and try updating again after you restart the patcher."

after i press the RESTART there the client immediately restarts and i am met with the exact same series of messages. Thinking it was a client problem, i went downstairs to my laptop where i am logged in onto my web account so that i could sent a bug report to try and get it fixed, but i am having the exact same problems here. since all the info i have found for reporting a bug leads to the client button, I have nowhere else to ask but here. i do not know if it is a server issue that many are facing since, if i have gotten a virus, or (most unlikely) if someone salty from an enemy team has doxed me. if anyone here can help me or get a support team member linked to this i would greatly appreciate it.

Same exact thing happened to me. So you didnt get specifically targetted.

This is crazy. Been hitting me for a few days now but it usually lets me on after a while. Now I just can't log on at all.

yeah its broke for me too. played a couple games of urf last night and all was fine.

hello again to anyone entering this discussion.

This seems to that it is in fact a game issue, and as of right now i am able to use the client login properly and have logged in. To anyone that this is happening to and reads this post, there is already a notification that they posted and linked on the client stating that they are aware of the problem and are working on a solution.
