I have people added from LAN while being on the NA server

The latest error we had was chat issues, and now that is back online, I was able to add people from the LAN server and also some others who I did not add but were on my account when I transfered. My account was transfered a year ago and just now suddenly I can see friends from my previous server, I can see their status and what game mode they are playing, but cannot expectate or see their profiles. I can also message them, is so weird. IS that a new feature Riot is gonna add (Cause it would be awesome) Or just a bug? [zombie-brand-mindblown]
