Mikaels Crucible bug

So i was playing a game of SR as Karma and the enemy team and the enemy team had a Malzahar. So I bought a Mikaels Crucible to counter his ult, but on two separate occasions when my teammates were suppressed I used the item and it showed the effects for the cleanse but they were still suppressed. Wondering if anyone else has encountered this.

Mikael's Crucible doesn't remove suppression. They only thing that removes suppression is QSS/Mercurial Scimitar plus a few champion abilities like Gangplank's oranges, Olaf's ultimate, and Alistar's ultimate.
