Game Freezes at 100% Loading

Ever since the new patch, I've been having an issue where some games won't actually start. They load up to 100%, then nothing. Can't close the game, can't do anything but restart my computer, and by then, my team has usually voted to remake and I'm slapped with a loss and suffer the LP loss. It's happened twice now in ranked, for a substantial LP loss. Now I'm reluctant to even start a ranked game because I really can't afford those kind of hits. I'm having a hard enough time trying to climb as it is!

In one instance, my team kept playing after I restarted my computer. I got the blank top-bar client others have reported, with no option to even attempt to rejoin the game and save myself the LP loss. So even if I restart quickly, I can't get back in the game and try to save it.

The weekend is the one time I actually get to try and really climb, and now I'm unable to even try to play ranked for fear of a guaranteed loss like that.

I've already tried restarting(obviously) and even reinstalled League through the hextech repair tool. After the reinstall it happened on the third game I started (thankfully a TFT game, so no loss of LP this time...) Is there any other way to fix it other than to wait for Riot to push a fix?

This bug has become much more frequent as of late. It has lost me 5 games out of my last 20. Even worse, it prevents the computer from alt-tabbing or going to task manager, so one time I actually lost unsaved schoolwork because I had to restart the computer to escape the freeze. I don't know what to do. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the client. I've surfed the fora. There's no apparent solution.

This bug makes me afraid to try to play League. I downloaded DotA today. Gonna see if I can get my MOBA fix through DotA from now on. Sigh.

I've invested so much time into learning League, this is so upsetting.

make sure to upvote these topics, as Riot seems to be doing nothing to address or even acknowledge it currently.
