Tahm Kench Devour

This just happened in game, and I don't have time to try and recreate, but I was playing Tahm Kench, and my friend was playing Kindred. Kindred had gotten engaged on, and I was moving in to Devour him. Meanwhile, Poppy had begun Keeper's Verdict. At roughly the same time, I devoured Kindred and was hit by Poppy's Verdict. I was sent flying with Kindred in my belly. This caused my friend to desync and disconnect. After a few seconds, he still was not reconnecting until I Devoured him again (to try and carry him away, as game had not registered him disconnected to send him back to base). When I did pick him up, that is when he reconnected.

Could all be coincidental, but the timings are quite suspicious.
