[CLIENT] There was an unexpected error with the login session.

This message pops up as soon as I open the client, giving me no option to click the 'X' on the top right, or anything of the sort.

Things I have done:

restarted my computer multiple times
literally redownloaded league (thank god for fast wifi)
tried deleting the application and resetting it

and nothing works. Is this a permanent thing? I honestly don't mind waiting it out but is this just a bug or will I just never be able to login?

I am having the same issue. Some have been able to fix it by clicking sign out after clicking X. But I don't get that unless I wait like 10 minutes for the client to generate the error message. Then hit Alt F4, click "sign out" then re-open the client. I am in the midst of a force patch, and like been at it for 2 hours now. This is honestly embarrassing, for a company to be celebrating its 10 year anniversary by not allowing its players to log in to its client.
