black screen on aram champ select

When I try to join an ARAM, getting black screen when it goes to champ select. No noise. Friend chat still works, game isn't frozen. When I click the x to close out the window it tells me I will get a time penalty. When I eventually close it and relog, I don't get the time penalty, but it still keeps going to black screen at champ select window. The game never launches. Could be everyone else is getting black screen and just exiting out before I do. It doesn't put me back in the normal screen and give me a new countdown though.
