Warwick trouble targetting certain champions with Q

Issue targetting champion, specifically Caitlyn, when using Q. Took several attempts before Q executed. Occurred on multiple occasions. Was not clear if the Q required several clicks or just required Caitlyn to be low health or for some other reason. Teammate mentioned having similar issue with Warwick in another game. Q worked properly on Sion and other champions in this game.

I play Warwick a lot and have not experienced this before. I do not usually build Swiftness Boots and do not always build BORK.
