Why is Game clinet so buggy and full of lags

I was in promotion series for silver 1 and i had 1 win and 1 loss. I started the ranked game and when match was found i clicked ready. Then the whole client froze and i had to restart it. When i logged in for second time i was sliver 2 out of promotion .
