[CLIENT] Could not enter a game because of bug

I queued up for a normal game with a friend, everything went okay until the game had started. League of legends crashed a couple minutes in and when i tried to reopen the game i had to re-download and re-install patch: 5.8. A patch that i had already downloaded and installed. (The reason for this is not yet known). Because of an horrible internet connection on my school i can not install the patch for a couple days. (restricted download and such)

Another friend of mine also had to re-install the patch: 5.8 prior to my unfortunate series of events. it happened for no apparent reason but he was not mid-game while it happened so he did not get eight AFK reports and an automatic loss like i am expecting to get in a couple minutes.

What do i do with this infuriating situation?

Edit: I ended up getting multiple reports in the game, the leave buster punished me and i received an auto-loss.
