[Gameplay] Unusual and Inconsistent Spellthief's Edge Procs

I have found that, with certain champion's using Spellthief's Edge, there are unusual procs for it's stacks. My biggest issue I've found is that it doesn't proc from shaco's jitb. No matter when it was placed or how many champs it may hit it does not remove any Spellthief stacks. Even though it is spell damage. After doing testing my friends and I found that other similar traps do proc though. i.e. Maokai sapling proc on landing and explosion, Caitlyn's snap traps take all 3 stacks with one trap, Heimerdinger's turrets for some reason only proc on the laser unless ulted which could be a bug itself, and teemo's mushrooms also proc all 3. Now these are all trap like or trap skills similar to the jitb in some way or near exactly, especially the snap trap since it's a status effect with magic damage that must be enemy triggered in some way, but the jitb doesn't proc for some reason. We have done videos to show this in multiple ways and also with multiple champs but we had to use LOLReplay so it's not attachable. If someone has an account they can view it with the program, sorry about that. Here's a link to the uploaded replays:

I also discovered in reviewing the replay that when shaco's clone attacks it says he's getting 5 gold from Spellthief but the real shaco's gold doesn't go up and his Spellthief stacks don't go down. We also found as a side note that malzahar's voidlings don't proc Spellthief's Edge but Elise's spiderlings do. Which to me doesn't make much sense because they are both triggered by casting even though Elise's are more controlled but that's not the main issue. Regardless thank you for your time and sorry this is so long; just thought it would help to be specific. Thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.

Again sorry for the length and the LolReplay requirement. I tried to record it otherwise but the recording didn't come through. item 3070

Well, I'm no expert, but I would assume that this is because Shaco's clone is very likely similar to Mordekaiser's ghosts, in that it counts as an allied champion while it is active. Shaco's clone does not, however, apply spell effects. The game may consider spellthief's to be an item buff, so despite the clone not having items, it still procs spellthief's, gives the clone money, and removes stacks from the clone, so to speak, due to it seeing the clone as a champion. However, this would also lead to it not removing stacks or giving gold to the actual player because you are not the one dealing the damage, the clone is.

As for minion pets like Tibbers, Voidlings, Spiderlings, and so on, the game does not consider them a separate champion. They also do not apply buffs or spell effects, etc.

To add on to this and help clarify, let's look at the Banner of Command.

The latter that was mentioned (Tibbers, voidlings, spiderlings, etc) would all be affected by the BoC because the game considers them minion pets. However, Shaco's clone, Mordekaiser's ghosts, and etc. would not be affected by it. As such, it's likely that what you saw occur with Shaco's clone could possibly apply with Mordekaiser's ghosts if the enemy had a spellthief's edge. Make sense?

Yeah that makes sense. Still doesn't solve the jitb issue though. xD That was the main concern. The clone part was just something I came across that I wasn't sure of. Thanks for clearing that up though I'd say that explains what I saw most likely.

Hey making a compilation of this inconsistency and if you have any recorded footage you can send me (.mp4 etc type files) that'd be great as I can no longer use those files you have linked. THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!! And if you know if any of this was fixed, would be good to know as well :)
