Only thing I see that would trigger the ban would be the your duo is wood tier or your just trolling.

For clarification, In champ select I wasn't able to communicate with team chat because chat was bugged in champ select. I hovered Sena as ADC and my TOP laner banned it. My duo informed me his reasoning for doing it was that Senna is a terrible ADC and I shouldn't play it" Game started and I informed him gj on banning my main champ and sarcastically said enjoy your free loss (Note the line after where Informed veiger I wasn't going to troll) then top and his duo jungler proceeded to play terribly after banning a teammates top champ.

To me this makes me not want to play the game, not that I was chat restricted, but rather that Riot's system of reporting doesn't facilitate the "fun and nontoxic environment" that they claim it does. If your system worked it would have more people held down in rank do to skill level and people performing badly wouldn't get them flamed (as I see it does repeatedly in games now).

I don't want my chat restriction overturned or honor restored, I want you to fix your game. How to fix: 1: IP ban players who receive real bans. They should not be allowed to just join up on a smurf to spend money with you and evade your punishment. It's like putting your kid in the corner for misbehaving and then handing them a Gameboy. 2: Hire Customer service staff that goes through all the reports and actually administers punishment. If someone is seen as reporting everyone every game and its not the 1 in 200000 chance that he's actually got that many toxic players revoke his ability to report so customer services employees you hired aren't swamped with fake reports. 3: If you are dead set on automatic the reports put an appeal option in that allows you to appeal and have a real person review the game. 4: STIFFER PENALTIES TO PEOPLE WHO GET PUNSIHED. You guys are really light on your punishment. This is my first punishment and I've played the game off and on since BETA, but I can tell you if I was a reaaaallly toxic player I should have been handled more harshly. Being Chat muted for 10 games wouldn't curve my toxicity whatsoever but a 2 week vacation would have. (a real one where I cant play on a smurf.)

You do realize that IP bans do more harm than good, right? Someone can easily just change their IP if they get IP banned, so that won't stop people from playing But you know that IP bans will do, they'll fuck over tons of dorms, internet cafes and families using the same IP.

Why would riot ever do something like that? Why would they fuck over so many people just so that a few people who don't know how to change their IP won't be able to play the game anymore?

You do know that that would take millions and millions of employees, right? Do you even know how much money that would cost?

You are allowed to appeal. It's called sending a ticket to riot support
