[GAMEPLAY] Jhin W Mark Bug
Well.. now it's letting me report bugs.. odd.
In recent games as High Noon Jhin (and Classic) I have encountered a bug where if a champion comes out of the Fog of War/Brush already with a mark of your W (caused by a trap), they will have the mark for the rest of the game. I've ran into this bug four times already, so I'm a little concerned.
The mark, as I've experienced, will not cause a root when you land a W on them, and will pulse (it starts to dim like it's going to wear off, then suddenly appears as if they were marked again). This will happen - or so I have experienced - even if you hit them with a W on it's initial mark and when your W is down. On the High Noon skin, any new marks will stack on top of the buggy mark and not go away. The mark(s) brighten and blurr to the point where it looks like a perfectly circular tangerine missing it's center.
The first time this happened to me was when a Jungle Zed attempted to gank me while my support was away. He stepped on my trap, then continued into lane out of the Fog of War. I had missed my W - then walked away. Later in a teamfight at dragon, he came in already marked (the buggy mark). I attempted to root him, and hit, but the stun didn't trigger. This happened in several other teamfights later in the game (and ended up getting me blown to pieces half the time). Luckily I had noticed that the marks stacked so i could tell when he was actually marked.
The second time was with a Taric I was laning against (this time w/o the High Noon skin). He seemed to really like the bushes, so I had several traps in there. At one point in the early game he stepped on one of my traps off-screen, then attempted to stun my support. Being as he was marked - I hit him with my W. It successfully rooted him at the time, however for the rest of the game he was perpetually marked. Any new marks would not stack as they did with the High Noon skin, so I couldn't even be sure if he was actually marked in the first place.
This happened again for a mid laner who attempted to steal dragon, and another jungler who was ganking (similar scenario as before).
I unfortunately don't have a video to show, so I hope the information I have given will suffice. It never happened to more than one champion each game, and I'm unsure if anyone else has encountered this bug. As such - I apologize if this is just an isolated event. If there is any extra information you would find useful please let me know, I want to help as much as possible.
Thank you for your time, ~A Silly Summoner
