[GAMEPLAY] Abilities Stopped Working

Reporting this major bug on behalf of a friend.

Her abilities have simply stopped reacting to the keys on the keyboard. She can't even recall with B, and has to click on the abilities for them to work. Sometimes, facerolling will cause abilities to fire here and there. Same result no matter the map, no matter the champ. Started happening less than a week ago. This is not a hotkey binding issue, since all of those settings have been restored to default. Even if you try to create keybinds in the Options menu, the game doesn't react to QWER or any other hotkey. Repairing the client has yielded no progress. It is possible to type in the chat, so I do not believe that it is a keyboard issue. Alt+Tabbing out and back in does not fix it, and neither does disconnecting and reconnecting.

The worst part is that if you Google the problem or search these forums with "abilities not working", you will see so many posts ranging from 2011 to present with people detailing this exact same problem with no feasible solution. I hope those of you who have been affected by this bug will be able to join us again soon on the Fields of Justice.

First, no account name needed. Should remove it. Second, i've had the bug before, but don't know what caused it or why it stopped. Your friend should check her keyboard settings, making sure it's US or whatever it usually is. Also, in a custom game, check every in-game setting and see if something triggers a change. If you have a firewall, make sure all of LoL's .exe have access (game, launcher, client, patcher). If you have Comodo firewall or a similar thing with a HIPS system, make sure it has access to d_input.dll or something like that. If it's not firewall, ignore that. Good luck.
