Once I Enter a Game, My Game Freezes for About Two and a Half Minutes

I can get through champion select and load into the game a little slowly, but once I load into the fountain my game completely freezes, and I am stuck in place for about two, two and a half minutes. This has happened in every PvP match for over a week, and I don't know why. has anyone else had this problem, and how can I fix it?
