mac client crash during game load

as im connecting to the game i get stuck in the champ selection screen and i have to exit out of the client because it crashes or freezes. once i re open the client i have to wait for it to load then some times it says "ive been disconnected, check internet" and im still connected to everything else. i re connect and it's fine. only other applications im using is skype. any help is appreciated.
