Edit: I want to clarify this was recorded during 5.16 and is not a new bug that should be posted in the 5.17 bug mega-thead

Sorry for the video editing. This was my first video ever - yes that's right, you read that correctly. Ever.

Must be pretty good right? To make me want to post a video of how it happened? You bet your sweet ass.

Steps to reproduce bug:

  1. Have Azir and Warwick at level 6
  2. Have warwick cast his ultimate on Azir; simultaneously, Azir should cast his ultimate in defense.

Result:

-Warwick will be knocked back and interrupted of his channeling -Warwick will still be channeling his ult on the target regardless of distance after landing the initial cast.

Reproduction rate:

-100%

Now, although I am salty AF about outplaying this engage on me and not being rewarded, that is not my main concern. If i had to guess, and I am definitely guessing, I would say that Warwick's ultimate is coded so that when he lands the initial cast, his target that he landed it on will take the full 5 swipes of his ultimate regardless of what happens to Warwick after the initial cast of Infinite Duress lands on his target (knockbacks, stuns, etc.)

This is an important issue. Warwick's ultimate in the current state is extremely similar to Fiora's old ultimate where there was no counter-play once the initial cast landed of the ultimate. My subjective analysis of that video I linked is that I out-played the engage on me, but I was not rewarded with living. I was still punished for making a good play, a play that would have otherwise saved my life had Warwick's ultimate not been hitting me well after I flashed and walked away. Therefore the ultimate, coded the way that it currently is, offers no counterplay.

it is also my understanding that if people QSS his ultimate, they still continue to take damage. I have no problem with this, especially if they're still in melee range. What I am NOT OK with is when you are far from melee range, after interrupting his channeling, and still taking the full damage of the ult as Warwick swipes at thin-air and his target is a football field away.

WW's ult damage doesn't go off if he get gets knocked off, you simply get unstunned. It isn't just an exception with QSS, his damage will -always- go through.

I'm a person who plays mages and such so I find it stupid that while is ult clearly got canceled he still gets the dmg off. Its like saying Lux ult should always hit you if she fires on you just because she all ready clicked R and was dead on aim even if you sidestep.

I get the point where it stops the disable but the dmg comes from the swipes, if WW cant get those swipes on his target why would it still do damage? From a mechanical point of you and a simple clarity/common sense it should cancel dmg.

Can also be reproduced 100% with TF.

Have Ultimate ready.

Have Twisted fate select Gold Card and right click Warwick who should be out of range.

Have Warwick Ultimate click TF.

Gold card will travel through the air and WW will get damaged and stunned.

Warwick will continue to swipe and do full damage.
