My client crashes four seconds after connecting. Without fail, the game will crash within for seconds of connecting to the game. This occurs on both regular online games as well as custom games. So far, only tested summoner's rift.

I'm going to guess you're using Windows 10, because that's the exact bug that all Windows 10 users are reporting. If that's the case, Riot is aware of the issue and thankfully looking into it. They don't officially support Windows 10 yet because Windows 10 isn't a released OS yet, just a beta. So be patient (or dualboot, downgrade, etc.)
