League champ select freezing but can still see people type messages

For the 3rd time now i have lost LP due to the champ select freezing, YET i can still see people talking to each other in chat ETC. loosing LP for something that is clearly a bug of some sort is, well..... annoying to say the least.

Exactly what happened to me and I lost 13 lp. Riot won't do anything to help even if you send tickets. Shitty client.
