Mac Client [CRASH]

There's a problem with the Mac client, It takes forever to load into games, and most of the time it will disconnect while loading. Sometimes, the game will load, and when I get in, and I will immediately get kick out because of inactive play. This happens around every other game. Even when I quite the client I do not get a bug splat pop up. I don't know what's happening, but I hope from Rioter reads this. I haven't these many issues just trying to get into the game, since Boompje was working on his client. I really love league is my favorite game, but this is getting too frustrating.

Glad to know I'm not the only one. At the start of every new patch, I bugsplat out of the first three or four games I try to play (normals only, not customs... ack.) so I have a late start, and a LeaverBuster warning. The only other person I know with this problem is the only other person I know who plays League on a Mac. It takes him and I a good 5 - 7 minutes to load in, and when we do, everyone starts whining about our "toasters", as if we wanted to wait. Not to mention lately I've been randomly d/c'ing when my ping is at ~42 - 45 and everything is running normally.

Bringing League to Mac was celebrated with iBlitzcrank, but not with making the client actually playable half the time.

Have you tried repairing the client? Whenever a new patch is introduced there is a good chance that it will mess the game up (at least it does for me on my mac) unless I repair the client. Every patch I make sure to repair or if the problem begins happening. It does take some time though... but considering the Mac client is still BETA I doubt there will be any sort of actual fix for the foreseeable future.

I've had that happen once, where I get knocked out of a game, and finally get back, and get kicked again for inactivity. WTF? So frustrating! Fortunately it's only happened the one time.

Incidentally, I did find that I got a lot fewer bugsplats when I started unmounting ("ejecting") my extra hard drive that I use for Time Machine before playing. Most of the time I'd have a problem would be when the drive would spin up to run a backup... semi-regular bugsplats. For a while I did better by turning off Time Machine, but I would still bugsplat occasionally when the disk would spin up at random. Now I unmount the disk entirely before I play, and I almost never bugsplat. Something to try if you're having problems, fellow Mac users. Just remember to remount your backup drive after playing, or you might cause different headaches for yourself!

Another bug that REALLY needs to be fixed is the lag-on-death one. I think that one's been around since the game could run on Mac. I want to but won't play certain champs like Karthus, Zyra, and Kog'Maw because I'm afraid the lag will ruin most of their passives' usefulness.

Oh thank god I wasn't the only one! I have had all those issues as well, and it has basically made the game unplayable for me (already have got two of those stupid low priority queue warnings because I crash and can't reconnect to the game!) Knowing that this might be a League issue, and not a problem with my computer is nice. I have a pretty old white MacBook, and while it is somewhat of a toaster (its running Yosemite on 2GB of RAM....EVERYTHING IS SO SLOW lol), at least the problem is not just on my end (still will probably be getting a RAM upgrade though).

Okay, it's not just me!! I haven't had this problem till last weekend. Loading screen takes FOREVER. I re-installed the client and have used, "Network Utility" to check out pings BEFORE I play League and my pings have been hitting 300+. My FPS would be from around 70 and suddenly drop to >20 during gameplay. So unhappy. Especially after I've re-installed the client (which took all night). item 3070 I'm on the East coast and my ISP is Verizon. ALWAYS been playing on Mac client.

If repairing the client doesn't help there is one more step you can try to fix the issue (I had to do this once when the repair tool wouldn't work). You have to go into your Application Data folder and delete everything relating to League. Then junk the installer application and when you have everything involving league off your computer try reinstalling it.

Sometimes the data files can become corrupted and the repair tool won't be able to fix it. Only other solution I've found to alleviate the issue.

This is getting out of hand. I literally crashed in the past 2 games at least once a minute. My pings are normal and so is my fps. Since I started playing on mac, I crash at least once a game. Every time I crash I have to reconnect and take a long time to load. It has been going on for about half a year now, and its getting out of hand at this time.

I have the same issue. I have had it since patch 5.2. I have sent many game reports to riot and still nothing. Usually I get only 1/2 disconnects per game but I just played one with 10. Needless to say its a very frustrating issue. I have heard some mac users say that they only experience this issue when connected to wifi, however I use ethernet.

Yeah, this problem is ridiculous and needs to get fixed. Not only is it incredibly hard to connect to the game ( I have to constantly move my mouse around or the client will just crash), but now over the past two days I have gotten terrible lag in game too. Crazy large ping spikes at random times making it nearly impossible to play the game let alone win one. It is so frustrating when you can't even play a ranked game for fear of Riot's own client messing up. But yeah, not to mention the fact that the Mac client has been in beta for over 2 years now…

Like come on Riot. I feel like I alone have given you guys enough money that I shouldn't have to worry about whether or not your client will let me play the game when i want to play. You are a big enough company, and I assume have a big enough Mac user base, that it is just completely ridiculous that I am still having issues like this. I should not have to move my mouse around constantly to prevent your client from crashing. I literally feel like one of those hamsters in a wheel. Ridiculous.

Please fix this. Thank you.
