[Client] Game freezes after opening the Client

Hello,

Currently, I'm encountering troubles as I enter the Client from first logging in.

After I get the Ranked 2015 Rewards Speech Bubble, the client does not load any of the news features that usually are displayed, and, approximately 5 seconds later, freezes my computer.

Computer Specs: CPU: Inter(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz GPU (Display adapters (I'm running an un-modded laptop, so I don't technically have a GPU with it)): Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 RAM: 8.00 GB (7.89 GB Usable) OS: Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit

I have tried the following things:

1. Attempted to sign in again as though everything would work normally.
2. Shut down and restarted my computer several times in a row in order to attempt to clear any programs that might have been causing the freeze in the first place, then running the Client again.
3. Uninstalled and reinstalled League of Legends.

None of these options worked, so I'm asking for your help now: What should I do? Is it something on my end that is causing my problem, or is caused by the client or by the server? I noticed that I couldn't Click on links on the Loading Page while the Client was updating (it would cause the Client to freeze, causing me to force-close it), which might have something to do with it as well.
