Windows 10 Black Screen after character select

I'm in desperate need of a solution to this problem.. I've been punkbusted twice because of this and it's frustrating having to wait 20 mins for something you had no control of in the first place. After character select when I should be taken to the loading screen my screen just remains black. I hear no sound and the pc becomes rather unresponsive (however the match commences [I know this because my match history shows the game of the character I've selected]). I've tried the whole "windows compatibility change" in the properties but it doesn't work either. Is there anything else I could perhaps try.. ??

p.s. I experience no problems logging in or navigating the game menu(s)

If this happens and you alt-tab and the game has crashed the following workaround helped me immensely:

After you get the black screen and you know you're screwed:

Alt-tab out.
Close the client by right-clicking it and exiting from the bar. (it may give you a game has crashed reconnect message...just close everything out)
Open the command prompt
Type: ipconfig /release Ipconfig /renew Ipconfig /flushdns

Note that this will disconnect your internet so it will drop any skype calls or whatever else you have going on.

Reopen the client, log in, reconnect.

With any luck this will work for you. I got so fast with it that I was able to identify a load failure, follow these steps, and load in before minions spawned. I eventually replaced my pc and my new one doesn't have this error.

Alternate workarounds that may help: run league as administrator. Update all your drivers.

Give this a try and hopefully you too can avoid annoying AFK reports you have no control over!

hmmm graphic card drivers conflicting with windows 10? If you have Nvidia and have upgraded to windows 10 it could be a conflict between the two. That was my problem not too long ago.
