Today, I went into champion select, and everything went normally, until the game was about to go to loading screen, when it just stays on champion select. Soon after, I get a notification saying that the game was unable to start.

After that, I try to go queue up a new game, but I get a message saying that I am not eligible. I try restarting my client, but even after that I can't start up a game. I can't start up a game on any queue.

so apparently a lot of players are experiencing this, someone should get in touch with a rioter directly, i'm not even sure they are aware this is happening since server status is displaying everything is fine with the server. summoner 3

The problem with league is that it has so much technical issues while DoTA 2 has no FCKING PROBLEM AT ALL but the UPDATE IS TOO FRIKIN BIG

Trying to start the practice tool (just me vs bots, no PVP) and i get the message:

"You cannot create a game because you are already in a game"

I had the same problem as described by OP.

same, when client was restarted it only lets me "reconnect" to a game (like it crashed mid game). when i try to reconnect the client unable to connect to the server (not surprising, theres no game). I`d like to mention the the client opens two instances of the game, the bug may be there :).
