Runes Do Not Change Once Entering Game [CLIENT]

This has been going on for at least a week now. After I select a champion to play in the champion select, I click and change my runes and masteries according to the champion I am about to play. However, once I get into the game and look at my stats, none of the correct runes are applied. For example, if I select my AP rune page, the champion will not receive the additional AP even though I had selected that page in the champ select. It is beginning to get annoying as I am at disadvantage when playing games without the correct runes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Lol but it keeps happening. Please fix this thank you.
