won't start

so i start up league of legends login client and everything is smooth from there. then once i start up a game that is when the game doesn't open and i'm stuck with a reconnect button in the middle of the client. then when i click it it says game still in progress then it tells me to reconnect not long after. (i am on a mac book and i do need a fix)
