After the latest windows 10 update last friday or whenever it was, i can only get past the champ loading screen and then get a short windows of about 5 seconds before the laptop freezes, and i cant even ctrl alt dlt, nothing. I am forced into a hard restart. I am 100% sure that it has to do with the latest windows update, i tried literally everything, but thats the only conclusion I have. Please help me I cant play league. This cannot be fixed locally, but riot has to address this bug. Please upvote this for attention. Thank you

I sincerely doubt it's simply the update itself since Microsoft has been releasing betas of the update for months. Check your drivers, Check you RAM and CPU Usage. Since if it is the update you should be bug splatting and seeing an error that could be the cause of it. I know it's a pain but try reinstalling league and seeing if that fixes it.

Upvote. Same issue and been working with support and no one has figured out the problem. Did the bug splat, did the updates, everything and I still get random crashes.

The same thing has happened to me also.

I have reinstalled league, completely removed and reinstalled video drivers, checked DX and updated. Essentially, I have done everything on this list...

...including a clean boot.

Not wanting to reinstall everything, I thought I would check here; however, presently this doesn't appear to be widespread...

I found that the DVR recording facility within the xbox app was causing this.

I turned it off, and League now works fine. This could be coincidence, but I doubt it and it's worth a try, I know the recording feature was causing FPS lag.
