Mac client cannot spectate games

1. Open game and log in to League of Legends.
2. Open friends tab.
3. Right click a random friend and hover over spectate
4. Click Spectate
5. "Server has failed."
6. Options come up to "Try again" or "Cancel."
7. Click "Try again."
8. Black screen, does not load.

This has happened every single time I try to spectate a game from my friends list. I tried this on multiple mac computers. Both my mac computers are fully updated.
