Keyboard and trackpad stop working when league is open.

Hello. Sometimes when LoL is open, my keyboard and trackpad become completely unresponsive. This only ever happens when LoL is open, sometimes it happens in-game and sometimes it happens during the pregame lobby. No, I do not play on a trackpad. The weird thing is that my USB mouse continues to work despite my keyboard becoming completely unresponsive. When I am in game I am still able to play with the USB mouse but I can't use any abilities using the keys; I have to manually use them by clicking on the ability, etc., which basically makes me lose the match. I am using a Lenovo Y700 laptop. The problem occurs both on the newest client and the legacy client. I have attempted reinstalling LoL multiple times, but the problem persists. The problem never occurs except when I am using LoL so I am almost certain it is not an issue with the laptop. Even when I close LoL the problem continues, but it will not happen unless LoL is opened first. The only solution I have found thus far is completely restarting my computer by holding the power button, which is of course not the smartest move. I currently believe that the only possible solution is to buy an external USB keyboard. This is an extreme inconvenience and I don't have the money for it. So can someone please help me out with the issue. I have been playing for almost a year and I am planning to continue to spend more hours on the game, maybe even buy skins, but I will not invest more hours and money into a game that won't solve this extremely annoying bug.
