Kernel error

I was just playing earlier today with one of my friends and i got off cause i wanted to go play some skullgirls. when i came back, i wanted to hop back on league cause i had nothing to do. when i clicked on the launcher, the client stops and i get: "PVP.net Patcher Kernel has stopped working" and i cant do anything after that. I had this problem once before and i never actually fixed it, i kind of just...gave up on playing for a bit, then opened it weeks later and it magically worked, but this time i wouldn't accept this as a valid option, so i uninstalled and reinstalled league of legends not one, not twice, but 6 times! i even went into windows explorer, cleared the whole folder, then reinstalled AGAIN! I went on the forums to find a solution, only to fins out this has been an issue for several years and riot has done nothing to fix it and they have no solution. I tried a few methods such as reinstalling microsoft framework 4.0 and even 3.5. I also tried the "reroute the pathing to a different Kernel provided on a forum thread." nothing has fucking worked.
