[CLIENT] Not popping back up during champ select

I keep dodging unintentionally in champ select because I tab out and do some work or watch a video or something during it because it takes forever (sometimes 15-20 mins). So it's really annoying that if I try to go do something else, when it's my turn to lock in a pick the client doesn't pop back up. It just sits in the background and then I get a dodge and a penalty and it ends up taking me up to an hour just to get in a game. It seems like a super minor problem, but it's a huge annoyance. I think the whole new champ select has really backfired because I definitely used to get in games quicker and it always popped up when it was my turn to pick or ban.
