Black screen after login?

Hello, I was able to play league yesterday night with no problems, now today I started up the client, hit Launch, and the login screen showed up as usual.

I entered my credentials, clicked Log In, and I recieved the "Authenticating" message followed by the "Logging In" message, so I know I have put in the correct password / username. I am immediately greeted with this blacked-out client.

I am running Windows 8.1, and have tried running the program as an admin, running it in Win7 compatability mode, and I have disabled display scaling on high DPI settings, all to effect.

I just want to play league and be a silver v scrub and feed, now I can't even do that item 3070 item 3070 item 3070 item 3070 item 3070 item 3070

Going to restart my computer now and see if that helps at all.

Yup, got the same problem, after the patch to 5.24. I can login in with my username and password and then it changes to black. when I try to click in it, it greys out and windows says that I can click for killing the process. I had tried to install a fresh LoL but it didn't solved it... And sometimes when I can enter a game, when I change ingame one setting (like audio or video) and I press Apply, League suddenly crashes.

What I've noticed is that the "Config" folder is Read-Only. I tried to uncheck it but with no success. And when I try to delete this folder, windows-explorer keeps crashing.

Edit: When I go in the Config folder and right click every single file, to go on there properies, only the "ItemSets.json" and "SettingsToPersist.json" file crashes my windows-explorer when I right click them. :(
